Manyetik iğne, cam, taş, projektörler, "particolare" yazılı slaytlar
İtalya’da Torino yakınlarındaki Borgofranco d’Ivrea’da, 1934 yılında doğdu. İlk sergisini 1967’de Galleria Sperone’de açtı. 1960’lardan beri sürdürdüğü sanatsal pratiğinde, dolaşımını daim kılmak istediği, gerçek bir durumun enerjisini açığa vurur: “Ben, dünya, şeyler ve yaşam, hepimiz bir enerji durumuyuz ve mesele bu durumları billurlaştırmak değil, kendi yaşamımız için bunları açık ve canlı tutmaktır” (Anselmo, 1969). Mesele, belli bir yerde, belli bir anda, gezegenin manyetik alanlarına ve evrene göre cisimleşmek ve yönlenmektir. Evrenin öğeleri, evrenin içindeki tikeller olarak, birbirlerine göre yön verirler kendilerine. Zamanda belli bir ana odaklandığı takdirde, her nokta bir tikeldir ve görünmez olan her şey, belli koşullar altında, görünürdür. Bu eserde, granit bir taş ve manyetik bir iğne birbirlerine göre yönlenirken, “particolare” (hem “tikel” hem “ayrıntı” anlamında) sözcüğünün yazılı olduğu bir slayt, mekânın ön penceresinden dışarı yansıtılmaktadır, mekânın yaklaşık bir metre dışındaki bir nokta odak olarak seçilmiştir. Böylece içerisi ve dışarısı dinamik bir ilişki içine girer ve insanlar, pencereye yaklaştıkça, “tikel” sözcüğünün gövdelerinde belirdiğine şahit olur – “gerçeğin” bir tecellisine.

Magnetic needle, glass, stone, projectors, slides with the written word "particolare"
Born in Borgofranco d’Ivrea, near Turin, Italy, in 1934, Anselmo debuted at Galleria Sperone in 1967. Since the 1960s, his practice has harnessed the energy of real situations in order to maintain its circulation: ‘I, the world, things, life, we are situations of energy and the point is not to crystallise such situations, but to maintain them open and alive for our living’ (Anselmo, 1969). His work concerns embodiment and orientation according to the planet’s magnetic fields in the universe, in a certain place, at a certain moment. The elements of the universe orient themselves in relation to each other, as ‘particulars’ within it. Every point is a particular if focused on at a moment in time, and all that is invisible is, under certain conditions, visible. In this work, a granite stone and a magnetic needle orient themselves in relation to each other, while the word ‘particolare’ (both ‘particular’ and ‘detail’) is projected through the front window of the space with a slide projector, focusing on a point about one metre outside in the street. Inside and outside are set into a dynamic relation and as viewers approach the window they see the word ‘particolare’ appearing on their bodies – an epiphany of the ‘real.’
