1920'lerde inşa edilen ve cephesindeki çiçek desenli kartonpiyerlerle dikkat çeken bina, 1950’lere kadar Kavala ailesine ait bir tütün deposu olarak kullanılmıştır. Bir sergi alanına dönüştürüldüğü 2005’te İstanbul Bienali’ne ilk kez ev sahipliği yapmıştır. 2009’da, canlı bir kültür merkezi olan DEPO’nun mekânı haline gelmiştir.

Constructed in the 1920s, the building presents floral plaster casts on its façade and was used as a tobacco warehouse for the Kavala family until the 1950s. In 2005, it was converted into an exhibition space when it hosted the Istanbul Biennial for the first time. In 2009, it became the home of the vibrant cultural centre DEPO.
