Taner Ceylan (d. 1967, Almanya) Mimar Sinan Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi’nden 1991’de mezun oldu. Ufuk açıcı sergi ve performansı Monte Carlo Style [Monte Carlo Tarzı] (1995) Türkiye’deki sanat sahnesini ciddi biçimde etkiledi. Ceylan’ın tabloları çok sayıda uluslararası sanat fuarı, müze ve galeride gösterildi. Bu sergilerin arasında 8. ve 9. İstanbul Bienalleri (2003, 2005), Postcards from CAC [CAC’dan Kartpostallar] Contemporary Art Center, New Orleans (2009); Istanbul Modern, Museum Boijman Van Beuningen, Rotterdam (2011); Lost Paintings Series [Kayıp Resim Serisi], Paul Kasmin Gallery, New York (2013) sayılabilir. Sanatçı İstanbul ile New York’ta yaşıyor ve çalışıyor.
Taner Ceylan (b. 1967, Germany) graduated from the Fine Arts Faculty at Mimar Sinan University in 1991. His seminal exhibition and performance Monte Carlo Style (1995) made a significant impact on the Turkish art scene. Ceylan’s paintings have been exhibited in numerous international art fairs, museums, and galleries including the 8th and 9th Istanbul Biennial (2003, 2005), Postcards from CAC at the Contemporary Art Centre, New Orleans (2009); Istanbul Modern at the Museum Boijman Van Beuningen, Rotterdam (2011); and Lost Paintings Series, Paul Kasmin Gallery, New York (2013). He lives and works in Istanbul and New York.
