Marwan Rechmaoui (d. 1964, Beyrut) Beyrut'ta yaşıyor ve çalışıyor. Şehrinin coğrafyasından ve zengin kültürel tarihinden esinlenen Rechmaoui'nin işleri sıklıkla kentleşme ve güncel sosyal ve davranışsal demografileri yansıtıyor. Büyük ölçekli dokunsal yapıtlar üretmek için beton, kauçuk, zift ve cam gibi endüstriyel malzemeler kullanıyor. Önemli işleri arasında Spectre [Hortlak] (2006) ve A Monument for the Living [Yaşayanlar İçin Bir Anıt] (2001) gösterilebilir. Rechmaoui’nin geçici olarak Seven Pillars of Wisdom [Bilgeliğin Yedi Sütunu] (2014'den itibaren) başlığını taşıyan eseri, domestik objelerden oluşan bir enstalasyonla, yapıbozum / yeniden yapım temasını devam ettiriyor.

Marwan Rechmaoui (b. 1964, Beirut) lives and works in Beirut. Deriving inspiration from the geography and rich cultural history of Beirut, Rechmaoui's work often reflects themes of urbanization and contemporary social and behavioural demographics. He uses industrial materials such as concrete, rubber, tar and glass to create tactile works on a large scale. His major works include Spectre (2006), and A Monument for the Living (2001). Rechmaoui’s tentatively titled Seven Pillars of Wisdom (2014–ongoing) continues the theme of deconstruction/reconstruction with an installation of domestic objects.
