Pietro Rigolo got his PhD from Università degli Studi di Siena – Istituto Italiano di Scienze Umane, and is currently serving as Special Collections Archivist at the Getty Research Institute, Los Angeles, where he is working on the Harald Szeemann archive and other contemporary art holdings. His research focuses on contemporary art and on the history of exhibitions and curatorial practice. His publications include Immergersi nel luogo prescelto. Harald Szeemann a Locarno, 1978-2000 (doppiozero, 2013) and La Mamma. Una mostra di Harald Szeemann mai realizzata (Johan and Levi, 2014).
