Ezra Getzler Society of Fellows’da genç öğretim üyesi olduğu Harvard Üniversitesi’nde, Arthur Jaffe danışmanlığında yaptığı doktorasının ardından MIT’de ve halihazırda matematik profesörü olduğu Northwestern Üniversitesi’nde dersler verdi. Nicole Berline ve École Polytechnique’de görev yapan Michèle Vergne ile Heat Kernels and Dirac Operators [Isı Çekirdekleri ve Dirac Operatörleri] (Springer-Verlag, 1992) kitabını kaleme almıştır.
Ezra Getzler taught at MIT and Northwestern University, where he is currently Professor of Mathematics, after receiving his PhD under Arthur Jaffe at Harvard University, where he was a Junior Fellow at the Society of Fellows. He works on mathematical physics (quantum theory, and its links with geometry and topology). With Nicole Berline and Michèle Vergne of the École Polytechnique, he co-authored the book Heat Kernels and Dirac Operators (Springer-Verlag, 1992).
