Rumelifeneri, Boğaz'ın Karadeniz’e açılmadan hemen önce, kuzeybatı ucuna yakın bir noktasında yer alan bir kıyı köyüdür. İason ve Argonotların Altın Post’u ararken buradan geçtiği söylenir. Günümüzdeki deniz feneri, 1855’te, Kırım Savaşı sırasında yapılmıştır.

Rumelifeneri is a coastal village near the Northwestern end of the Bosphorus Strait just before it opens up onto the Black Sea. It is said that Jason and the Argonauts passed through this location in their search for the Golden Fleece. Today's lighthouse was built in 1855 during the Crimean War.
